While all these features make Genuine Leather the ideal material for shoes, what really attracts the eye is the luxurious aesthetics of leather footwear and accessories.

While Genuine Leather products are highly durable, they demand proper care to maintain their premium look. Here are a few leather shoe care tips that would help you to keep your shoes looking clean and fresh longer.

Some common guidelines

  1. Do Not bleach, soak or tumble dry leather products.
  2. Avoid getting your leather products wet. If they do get wet, allow them to dryu naturally. Do Not use a dryer or place them in direct sunlight.

1. Nappa Calf Leather

Nappa Leather is a Chrome tanned smooth leather and is majorly obtained from cow, calf and sheep leather. Being a soft leather it has a naturally shiny upper and thus cleaning it with a cotton cloth is enough normally. In case it is exposed to excess moisture and dirt then are chances of developing marks and stains on its surface. So, in this case, normal cleaning won’t help as it requires more closer cleaning to get rid of all sticky stains. For this we recommend our users to apply PRO COMBI CLEAN AND CARE MOUSSE on its surface and then wipe it off using a clean cotton cloth. Doing this will easily remove the stains and will also provide resistance against marks and stains in future. After cleaning one can apply PRO STAR SHINE to enhance the shiny look of smooth leather upper. 2. Milled Calf Leather

It is a top grain quality leather made from milled cow hide. It is soft and has natural fine lines on its upper due to which there are chances of accumulating dust on its upper. This dust can usually be cleaned using a dry or damp cotton cloth but in case there are stubborn stains on it surface then you have to go for more closer cleaning. For this it is recommended to use PRO PERFECT CLEAN GEL because it easily removes the stains without altering the colour and natural characteristics of milled leather. After this, depending upon the color any suitable PRO SHINE can be applied. If ever you are not found of using shiner then a PRO SPRAY ON WAX can be applied on all smooth and grained leathers. It contains high quality cold wax that nourishes & conditions the leather for maintaining its softness.

3. Printed Calf Leather

It is made by printing patterns on regular calf leather. Although this printing is done quite precisely still there are chances of wearing and tearing out of that printed film. So, in order to preserve their elegance it is advised to handle them with great care. If ever it requires cleaning then a dry & soft cotton cloth should be gently wiped off against its surface. Any brush or hard cloth should never e used for cleaning. Whenever it requires a closer cleaning, then it is recommended to use PRO PERFECT CLEAN GEL. This is because it is capable of removing stains without altering the color & characteristics of the leather and is also suitable for metallic surfaces. Apply this gel on the affected area and then gently wipe it off using a clean cloth.

4. Perlato Calf Leather

It is made by doing Pearlescent coating on Full Grain Leather. This type of leather features a superficial pearl effect on its upper. It can be normally cleaned with dry cotton cloth but for intense cleaning a PRO COMBI CLEAN AND CARE MOUSSE can be used. Spray a small amount of it on a sponge and gently buff it on the leather upper.

5. Patent Calf Leather

Patent leather is made by fixing a thin glossy film over leather. Since there is a film covering the leather, no polish or creams are required for cleaning Patent leather shoes. They can be cleaned with a damp cotton cloth. Ensure that the water is completely drained from the cloth by twisting it repeatedly. After wiping the shoes with the damp cotton cloth leave it to dry naturally.

6. Brush-Off Calf Leather

It is top grain calf leather that features finishing characterized by a layer of dye which is hand brushed with precise and craft movements. They can be cleaned with a damp cotton cloth. Ensure that the water is completely drained from the cloth by twisting it repeatedly. After wiping the shoes with the damp cotton cloth leave it to dry naturally.

7. Nubuck Calf Leather

It is a top-grain made from outer part of calf skin that is sanded and buffed on the grain side. Its surface is slight fibrous due to which there are chances of retaining dirt in it. Its cleaning procedure is similar to that of suede leather. For regular cleaning it is recommended to use PRO SUEDE N NUBUCK QUICK CLEAN whereas for intense cleaning it is recommended to use PRO SUEDE N NUBUCK FOAM CLEANER. Quick clean contains an innovative 2 in1 sponge and eraser. To remove the dirt, sponge should be rubbed on leather surface in appropriate direction. Whereas in case of stains the eraser should be rubbed against the mark or stained surface. If in case the stains are not removed by eraser, then you should spray a small amount of PRO FOAM CLEANER on the foam and gently rub it on the affected area of the leather. Once the leather is cleaned, hold the PRO SUEDE & NUBUCK CARE spray at the distance of around 20cm from the leather and spray i evenly on the leather surface. This will renovate the color of leather and provide nourishment to the leather.

8. Suede Calf Leather

It is made from inner layer of calf skin and features a fuzzy surface. This type of leather is very much prone to the accumulation of dust and thus often requires intense cleaning. For regular cleaning it is recommended to use PRO SUEDE N NUBUCK QUICK CLEAN whereas for intense cleaning it is recommended to use PRO SUEDE N NUBUCK FOAM CLEANER. Quick clean contains an innovative 2 in1 sponge and eraser. To remove the dirt, sponge should be rubbed on leather surface in appropriate direction. Whereas in case of stains the eraser should be rubbed against the mark or stained surface. 9. Suede Goat Leather

It is made from inner layer of goat skin and features a fuzzy surface.

Its surface is quite soft and velvety in nature and thus attracts & retains dust whenever exposed to an dusty environment. Being a type of suede leather it cleaning is almost similar to suede cleaning. For regular cleaning it is recommended to use PRO SUEDE N NUBUCK QUICK CLEAN whereas for intense cleaning it is recommended to use PRO SUEDE N NUBUCK FOAM CLEANER. 10. Deer Leather

It is a Leather made from deer hide and is exceptionally soft and supple. Deerskin is quite soft and breathable, it can collect harmful oils and dirt from contact with our skin and other materials over time. Thus, to preserve its elegance it is quite important to remove all excess dirt and oils from its surface on regular basis. For this we recommend our users to apply PRO COMBI CLEAN AND CAR MOUSSE & PRO PERFECT CLEAN GEL. It easily removes the oil, dirt and stains without altering its natural features. Apply a small amount of PRO clean product on the leather and then wipe it off using a clean cotton cloth.

11. Hand-finished Leather

This leather is made from top quality hides and is finished entirely by hands. Cleaning it with regular cotton cloth is enough but in case there are stains on it’s surface then you should apply a PRO CLEANING SHAMPOO on the affected area. Take a small amount of foam on the cloth and gently rub it on the affected area.

12. Foil Leather:

It is made by hot stamping foil on leather surface. It can be normally cleaned with dry cotton cloth but for intense cleaning a PRO COMBI CLEAN AND CARE MOUSSE can be used. Spray a small amount of it on a sponge and gently buff it on the leather upper.
